Orígenes Patagonia is the only outfitter in Chile and South America to offer this activity. It is an ideal option for the families and especially for the little ones.

Riverbugs are very versatile and easy to maneuver crafts that allow our guests to play different types of games during a river descent. Participants sit down on the River Bugs to face the rapids. River Bugs do not need paddles or oars, because they are maneuvered by the hands and feet. All participants are supplied with webbed gloves and swim fins for the feet as well as all of the personal equipment needed for a traditional rafting excursion.

Thanks to this “one of a kind” adventure sport our guests are able to enjoy the beautiful views that the Espolón and Azul rivers provide, surrounded by the towering and majestic Andes mountain range, with its evergreen forests of coihue, lenga and notro; and with some luck will be able to appreciate the rich riverside fauna, such as: wild ducks, torrent ducks, kingfishers and geese, etc.

The warm and transparent waters of both of these rivers allow us to intimately connect with a magical environment, making Riverbug an activity that will be long remembered by the entire family.
